Safety 1st Conference: Making Schools Safe National School Safety Summit

Important Session Information:

Providing a safe and secure school environment for our children and staff has become increasingly complex. Superintendents, school police chiefs, directors, staff, and leadership face unprecedented social changes, potential targeted acts of violence, pandemic issues, and catastrophic events in our nation’s schools.  In this one-day national safety summit, Region 10 is bringing together some of the country’s most experienced school safety experts to discuss multiple topics on this subject.

Dr. Leigh Wall, former Santa Fe ISD Superintendent, will open the day with an overview of the tragic event that unfolded in her district.  She will offer insight into the complexity of events surrounding an emergency in order to better equip school leadership.  This information is essential to the mission of providing the safest environment for our schools.
